Australian football star Sam Kerr and her partner, fellow professional player Kristie Mewis, have officially announced their engagement after weeks of speculation. The confirmation came through an exclusive feature in People magazine, where Mewis addressed the rumors that had been circulating, fueled in part by her social media posts showcasing a prominent diamond ring on her engagement finger. The Matildas star striker Kerr, aged 30, and Mewis, aged 32, have been in a relationship since 2021.

Expressing her sentiments, Mewis emphasized the significance of Kerr in her life, noting that Kerr has been her biggest supporter, always there to listen to her and support her through all the ups and downs.
